Teknox was commissioned to design and manufacture an industrial washing tunnel for the inline cleaning of electrical capacitors, directly integrated into the customer’s automated production line.

The main objective was to ensure a continuous, safe and fully automated cleaning process.

Customer requirements

During the production process, electrical capacitors become contaminated with a highly toxic liquid that can represent a potential risk for operators.

The main requirements were therefore:

  • complete removal of toxic substances
  • protection of operators’ health and safety
  • integration of the cleaning process into the automatic production line
  • maintaining high productivity and continuous operation

Teknox solution for inline electrical capacitor cleaning

Teknox developed a customised industrial cleaning system for inline electrical capacitor cleaning, specifically designed to integrate perfectly with the customer’s automated production process.

Automatic treatment tunnel

The system is based on an automatic industrial washing tunnel that receives components directly from a conveyor belt, with a production frequency of one part every 5 seconds.

Each capacitor is transferred onto a pallet handling system that moves through all cleaning stages:

  • high-pressure washing
  • controlled rinsing
  • technical blow-off
  • hot air drying

The system is a 2-tank linear industrial washing tunnel with pallet handling, designed to ensure process stability, repeatability and maximum cleaning efficiency.

This configuration allows large production volumes to be processed continuously while maintaining high cleaning standards.

Complete removal of toxic contaminants

Thanks to the complete washing, rinsing and drying cycle, the system ensures the total removal of toxic contaminants from electrical capacitors.

This result is essential to:

  • guarantee operator safety
  • prevent contamination during the assembly phase
  • improve the quality of the final product
