Additive dyeing system: automatic dyeing plant

3D WAVE optimizes the dyeing of 3D-printed components, resolving any issues related to uneven coloring or halos on complex geometries. This automatic plant is designed to guarantee precision, uniformity, and productivity in additive manufacturing. Thanks to the RotoWave system, even hidden cavities and intricate surfaces receive a homogeneous dye without intermediate handling. The management of parts in a crate with an adjustable lid allows for the partial filling of the machine, optimizing time and safety.

The 3D WAVE project, patent pending 2023, was born from the collaboration between two historic Italian companies, TEKNOX & NORBLAST, who combined their experience and expertise to offer an innovative opportunity for additive manufacturing professionals.

Process

Parts are placed inside a stainless steel mesh basket. The basket lid is equipped with a locking system at different heights that prevents parts from falling out and guarantees their integrity during rotation.

Thanks to RotoWave technology, by means of partial immersion and continuous replacement, the liquid moves constantly, entering even deep cavities, improving the dye’s ability to adhere to surfaces, and avoiding stagnation and halos.

The machine, thanks to its flexibility in creating customizable programs, allows for an automatic process without intermediate handling.

  • Preliminary automatic rinse to remove any surface impurities
  • Dyeing of parts with Rotowave technology in slow rotation with partial immersion
