Spray parts washing tanks
The operational advantages of a spray parts washing tank in modern industry
The operating principle of a spray parts washer is based on the impact action of hot water jets mixed with specific detergents. This allows for the physical removal of dirt even from the most complex geometries, blind holes, threads, and internal channels that are difficult to reach with other systems. Integrating spray parts washers into production workflows offers a range of concrete and measurable advantages.
The Teknox range: manual and semi-automatic solutions for every requirement
To respond with millimetric precision to diverse production needs, Teknox has developed an extensive range of spray parts washers, primarily divided into manual cabinet systems (LAVAPEN line), semi-automatic rotating basket systems (P MEDIUM line), and automatic rotating basket systems (Simplex line). Each line is designed to integrate perfectly into both small automotive repair shops and the production lines of large industrial plants.
Lavapen Line: the revolution of the manual and cabinet stainless steel parts washer
The Lavapen line represents the technological evolution of the classic manual stainless steel parts washer. Designed entirely in AISI 304 stainless steel to ensure maximum corrosion resistance and long-term durability, the Lavapen line consists of various models that differ by power supply, operating temperature, and washing pressure:
- Lavapen C (electric heated): this closed low-pressure cabinet is ideal for precision washing performed manually by the operator using gloves integrated into the structure. The water is electrically heated up to a maximum of 60°C, allowing the detergent to quickly dissolve sludge and grease. The low pressure allows for meticulous control over the most delicate surfaces.
- Lavapen C OPEN (manual action heated, open cabinet): designed to facilitate the continuous handling of mechanical parts, this version combines the effectiveness of hot washing with the practicality of an open structure, while maintaining high safety and protection standards for the operator through physical barriers and containment systems.
- Lavapen P and P OPEN (pneumatic cold): these models use pneumatic power to operate in total safety even in the presence of cold degreasers. They are the preferred choice for work environments where there are specific constraints related to electrical safety and controlled atmospheres.
- Lavapen X (high pressure): when dirt is extremely layered, carbonised, or difficult to remove, the solution is a high-pressure parts washer. The LAVAPEN X model is an electric closed-cabinet machine equipped with a special lance capable of delivering adjustable pressure up to 100 bar. This incredible mechanical force, combined with hot water at 60°C, transforms the cabinet into a powerful high-pressure parts washer capable of stripping paint, descaling, and cleaning parts with intricate internal geometries without any effort from the operator, who works in absolute safety protected by the solid cabinet glass and airtight gloves.
P Series: the power of the semi-automatic heated parts washer
For heavier loads, bulky components, or workflows that require partial automation to free up the operator during the washing process, Teknox offers the P Medium and P Small series. These are now also available in the HT (High Temperature) version (up to 80°C), providing energy savings of up to 22 kWh per day. These systems are semi-automatic spray parts washers equipped with a motorised rotating basket and an electromechanical control panel:
- P Small Series: the ideal meeting point for those seeking a compact yet high-performance solution. With a usable washing diameter of 78 cm and a usable height of 43 cm, it is perfect for engineering workshops and maintenance departments handling loads up to 100 kg.
- P Medium Series: the most suitable solution for the automatic washing of medium-sized mechanical components. With a usable washing diameter of 117 cm and a usable height of 70 cm, it is an excellent industrial system for managing loads up to 300 kg.
In this type of spray parts washer, the operation is as follows:
The operator positions the components on the basket, sets the desired temperature (up to 80°C for the most demanding treatments) and the cycle duration via the control panel, and then starts the machine.
A series of nozzles, geometrically arranged above, below, and to the side, sprays the high-flow detergent mixture onto the component while it rotates slowly. This rotary motion ensures that no surface is left untouched, guaranteeing deep, uniform, and standardised cleaning.
The load capacity of these semi-automatic machines can reach 300 kg, making this heated parts washer perfect for cylinder heads, engine blocks, industrial gears, and moulds.
Simplex Line: automation and technology for washing complex parts
The Simplex line, designed by Teknox, combines innovation and automation for washing mechanical and industrial components. Characterised by rotating basket spray parts washers managed via PLC with an intuitive touchscreen interface, the range is available in various volumetric and functional configurations to meet specific production requirements:
- Simplex Small Series: compact and versatile, this is the ideal solution for washing small items or mechanical components in production environments with limited space. It offers timed washing cycles and precise temperature control, ensuring maximum efficiency for small volumes and light loads.
- Simplex Medium Series: represents the perfect balance between footprint and high production capacity for medium-sized parts. Designed to ensure continuity in industrial workflows, it features a larger washing basket and an enhanced pumping system to effectively remove sludge and oils from medium-sized structural or mechanical components.
- Simplex Big Series: designed for heavy industry and voluminous components. This series features extremely robust structures, large-diameter baskets (up to 240 cm), and load capacities for weights up to 800 kg. The combined action of high-pressure parts washer nozzles and mechanical rotation ensures deep degreasing even on the most complex geometries.
- Simplex Big 2B Series (double tank): designed for complex treatment cycles that require washing. Thanks to the separate management of liquids in the two tanks, cross-contamination of fluids is avoided, resulting in bright, protected surfaces with zero detergent residue.
Flexible systems oriented towards every industrial sector
Our installations operate successfully in the most diverse production contexts internationally. Thanks to the possibility of customising nozzles, filtration systems, and drying cycles, a Teknox high-pressure parts washer can be successfully integrated into sectors such as:
- Precision mechanics and CNC: for the rapid removal of emulsions, neat oils, and metal swarf from batches of small parts or milled components.
- Automotive, railway, and marine: for the reconditioning of engines, gearboxes, and cylinder heads, and for washing heavy components during maintenance and overhaul (MRO) phases.
- Aerospace: where strict cleanliness standards require certified decontamination and rigorous monitoring of residual particulate matter.
- Sheet metal stamping and tube processing: to eliminate drawing lubricants before heat treatments or painting.
Maximise production efficiency with Teknox consultancy
Choosing the correct washing technology requires a careful analysis of all operational variables. It is not just about purchasing a machine, but about configuring a synergistic process that includes the correct chemical selection of the detergent (degreasers, descalers, protectives, or deoxidisers) and the optimal management of energy and water consumption for a reduced TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
