Industrial parts washing tunnels allow in-line washing of parts. In general, parts are loaded by the operator onto a conveyor belt that passes through all treatment stages until reaching the machine exit. Industrial parts washing tunnels are always configured and manufactured according to specific process data: part dimensions and shape, hourly production capacity, and the type of treatments required, such as degreasing, phosphating, rinsing, anti-corrosion protection, drying, cooling, etc.

In some cases, parts handling does not take place by means of a conveyor belt but through two chains equipped with special supports designed according to the shape of the part.

The vapor extraction phases allow the removal of vapors generated during the washing process. The washing and rinsing stages include dedicated piping systems that surround the handling system, allowing the parts to be sprayed from all sides. Pressure can be adjusted by means of dedicated lockable valves, while the internal pipes are mounted on quick-connect fittings for easy maintenance.

The hot air drying phase consists of electric blowers that draw filtered air from the surrounding environment and convey it through blade-type nozzles, passing through stainless steel pipes heated by electric heating elements.

Parts loading can be: manual, by anthropomorphic robot, by gravity from a machine tool, or through a chute. Parts unloading can be: manual, by anthropomorphic robot (with or without vision system), or by gravity onto a chute.

Industrial parts washing tunnels can be customized according to the type of parts to be treated (for example, when washing metal tubes or profiles, the conveyor belt is inclined to allow washing liquid drainage) or according to the customer’s layout requirements (for example, unloading parts onto a return conveyor belt or onto the customer’s conveyor with pick & place, conveyor belt system, or oval-shaped chain handling, allowing parts loading and unloading from a single workstation).
