Professional deoxidant detergents
In the surface treatment sector, the removal of oxides is one of the most critical stages: a wrong approach can irreparably compromise the component or, worse, damage the industrial cleaning system.
Our deoxidant detergents are designed to ensure excellent results on ferrous metals and light alloys, eliminating oxidation residues and preparing surfaces for subsequent processing or painting stages.

The targeted action of deoxidisers in the treatment of metal surfaces
Deoxidising detergents for parts washers are specific products used to remove oxidations, metal oxides, halos and surface residues that form on components during processing, storage or exposure to humidity.
The use of specific deoxidants within an industrial washing cycle allows to restore the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the parts, an operation fundamental both in the production of new components and in the regeneration sector.
These detergents chemically act on metal surfaces removing layers of light oxidation and surface contamination, restoring the appearance of the piece and preparing it for subsequent operations, such as assembly, surface treatments, painting or anticorrosive protection.
In parts washers, deoxidisers are used in specific cycles or integrated into the cleaning process, often followed by rinsing and protection stages, to ensure clean and uniform surfaces without damaging the base material.
Modern formulations are designed to ensure a good balance between cleaning effectiveness, material compatibility and safety for operators and plants, allowing the treatment of steel, cast iron, aluminium and metal alloys.
The choice of deoxidant detergents depends on the type of metal, the level of oxidation present and the washing cycle adopted in the machine.
Synergy between machine and chemistry: the added value of Teknox
We provide a “turnkey” solution where the detergent is calibrated on the technical specifications of the machine. Our formulations of deoxidant detergents take into account:
- material compatibility: protection of seals, mechanical seals and components present in the system.
- foam management: reduced-foam formulations suitable for high-pressure use in spray systems (SIMPLEX, UNIX, ROBUR series).
- interaction with ultrasonics: for the K series tanks, the liquids are designed to maximise the effect of ultrasonic cavitation, accelerating the detachment of the most tenacious oxides.
This integrated approach drastically reduces maintenance costs and machine downtimes, offering the customer a single point of contact responsible for the final cleaning result.
Applications and sectors of use for industrial deoxidation
The need to remove oxides cuts across the manufacturing industry. Our deoxidisers find application in contexts where surface quality is indispensable.
In the automotive and manufacturing sector, the regeneration of engines, gearboxes and turbochargers requires the total removal of rust and carbon residues from used components before they can be inspected and refurbished. Here, the use of a specific detergent allows aluminium and cast iron castings to be returned to their original state without damaging the bearing seats.
In the painting and galvanic treatment industry, deoxidation is a mandatory pre-treatment phase. A surface that is even minimally oxidised can compromise the adhesion of the paint or galvanic coating, leading to detachment and defects over time. Teknox products prepare the metal by creating a chemically active and clean surface, ready for subsequent coating.
Also in mould maintenance (plastic, rubber, die casting), cleaning is critical. Moulds accumulate oxide patinas and release agent residues that alter the dimensions and finish of the moulded product. The combined action of our machines and our detergents removes these incrustations in a non-abrasive way, extending the useful life of the expensive mould.
Addressing oxidation problems with generic products is a risk for quality and machine integrity. Rely on the expertise of those who design the entire washing ecosystem. Contact us today to analyse your deoxidation needs and find the perfect combination of machine and detergent.
